India stopped exporting onion

Today Friday (December 8) in an order, the country has announced stoppage of onion export till March 2024.

This was confirmed by Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi. He told Ittefaq Online in the afternoon, “I received this news a while ago. I haven’t thought of what to do yet. We will discuss this and then let you know.

Apart from this, the country’s media outlet Times of India has highlighted the issue of stoppage of onion export on Friday citing the Indian news agency PTI.

It should be noted that the Indian government has decided to stop the export of onion till March next year (2024) in order to control the price in the Indian market.
