India won the last T20 of the series against South Africa by 106 runs in Johannesburg. The three-match series was drawn 1-1. After the first match was washed away by rain, South Africa won the second match.
India lost the toss and went into bat on Thursday. But the beginning was not good at all. Opener Shubman Gill got out after scoring 12 runs off 6 balls. Tilak Verma dropped to number three and got out on the first ball. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Yasaswi Jaiswal became India’s hope after losing 29 runs and 2 wickets. They made a pair of 112 runs. Yasaswi was dismissed for 60 runs but Surya scored 100 runs.
Rinku Singh came in at the end and scored 14 runs off 10 balls. Jeetesh Sharma became a hit wicket for 4 runs. Ravindra Jadeja was run out with 4 runs off 2 balls. In the end, India scored 201 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs.
In response, South Africa’s batting line collapsed like a house of cards. Mukesh Kumar took India’s first wicket in the second over. After losing wickets at regular intervals, the Proteas’ innings stopped in 13.5 overs. David Miller scored 35 off 25 balls for South Africa.
Kuldeep Yadav alone took 5 wickets for India. Jadeja took two wickets. One wicket each for Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh.
