After 70 years, Quddus Munshi, who met his mother, died in Bagmara

70 years ago, 10-year-old Abdul Quddus Munshi went missing. On September 25, 2021, the 80-year-old son returned and met the centenarian mother Mangal Nesha. Nationally talked about Quddus Munshi passed away due to old age. He died in Baruipara village of Jhikra Union of Bagmara Upazila of Rajshahi on Thursday morning. He is buried in the family cemetery.

Babu Hossain, the son of Abdul Quddus, confirmed the matter first and said that his father was ill before his death. He found old mothers and sisters, that was the consolation. However, even though he was asked to stay in Brahmanbaria, he did not stay. He returned to Baruipara with his children.

Abdul Quddus’s mother’s house is in Badda village of Shyamgram Salimganj union of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. His mother lived in her daughter’s house in Ashrabad village of neighboring Bancharampur upazila. After seeing his mother in September 2021, Quddus went to Brahmanbaria again in November. Stays with mother for 12-13 days, talks. His centenarian mother died in February 2022.

Old Abdul Quddus lived in Baruipara village of Bagmara. On April 12, 2021, Ayub Ali, a businessman from Singsara Bazaar in Atrai Upazila of Naogaon, posted a video about Quddus on Facebook. There, the name of his father, village and upazila was searched for his relatives. Eventually find them.

Abdul Quddus is the son of deceased Kalu Munsi of Badda village of Shyamgram Salimganj union of Nabinagar upazila. When he was six or seven, his father died. After the death of the father, the mother sent the son to Bagmara in Rajshahi to Abdul Awal, a constable of Fupa Police. There, the mother-in-law got scolded and disappeared from the house. After 70 years, he returned to his mother, sister and relatives on 25 September 2021 with his children and went to his sister Jharna Begum’s house in Ashrababad village to see the centenarian mother. Then he visited his birthplace and father’s grave in Badda village of Nabinagar. After one month and four days, on November 2, he went back to his mother with his wife. After that, Quddus was no longer with his mother. But he used to talk on the phone regularly. His centenarian mother died in February 2022.
