BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that perhaps Bangladesh is the only country in the world where the Prime Minister chooses who will be the opposition party.
He said this at a press conference at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Tuesday around 11:30 am.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that the election system of the country has been rendered completely unreliable, ineffective and ridiculous due to the lack of power of one person.
The BNP leader alleged that the members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on duty at the border have no security. Rizvi said this while referring to the news of BGB constable Mohammad Raishuddin being killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Dhanyakhola border of Benapole, Jessore in various media. According to media reports, this incident took place at around 5:30 am on Monday morning.
In this regard, BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “I have seen for so long that ordinary Bangladeshis have been killed by the Indian border guarding forces.” And now I see, even BGB has no security at the border. The killing of the border guards of another independent country by the border guards of another country is not an ordinary incident, rather it involves the question of independence-sovereignty of the state.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi asked the question of how people in cold weather can get warm clothes where people are struggling to get daily necessities including food. He said, this government is indifferent about the cold people.
