Today, the minimum temperature in the capital also dropped from yesterday. Sources of the Meteorological Department said that although the temperature is low today, it may increase from tomorrow.
The total number of districts in Rajshahi and Rangpur division is 16. Apart from this, cold current is blowing in 12 more districts today. The districts are Gopalganj, Madaripur, Manikganj, Moulvibazar, Satkhira, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal, Chuadanga, Tangail, Comilla and Patuakhali.

If the temperature is between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, there is considered to be a mild cold current. When the temperature drops to 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, it is a moderate cold current. Severe cold current when the temperature is 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Accordingly, severe cold current is blowing in Panchagarh and Dinajpur today. But the Meteorological Department is not calling it a severe cold front.
The reason for this is the meteorologist of the directorate. Bajlur Rashid told Prothom Alo, “If the temperature is below 6 degrees Celsius for two consecutive days, severe cold current is declared at that time. But our forecast says that the temperature will rise again tomorrow. So now it is not called severe cold current.
This meteorologist said, tomorrow the temperature may rise a little more than today everywhere in the country.
Although the temperature is very low today, there is not much fog in most of the regions including the capital. The sun has risen in the morning. Therefore, even at this low temperature, the temperature is increasing during the day, said Bazlur Rashid.
